Is the pressure balance port at the bottom of the vacuum distillation tower used to connect to a vacuum source? Does a vacuum distillation column require vacuum to be applied at both the top and bottom? This post was last edited by lxzzl on 2009-3-26 11:36.]
Bro, is there any actual photo of the pressure balance port at the bottom of this pressure relief tower? I don’t understand. Generally speaking, there is definitely a vacuum pressure gauge at the top of a vacuum distillation tower ; As for the bottom of the tower, it depends on its location – it may or may not be added, depending on the process requirements. The original poster didn’t explain it very clearly; is it the pressure balance port at the pump outlet at the base of the tower?
A vacuum distillation column does not require vacuum to be applied at both the top and bottom of the column, as the entire column forms one system; it is sufficient to have vacuum applied at the top of the column. The pressure balance port at the bottom of the tower is connected directly to the lower part of the tower. This post was last edited by lxzzl on 2009-3-26 11:35.]
Is it related to the equilibrium of the reboiler?
Is there a reboiler at the bottom of the vacuum tower? Aren’t they all heated using a vacuum furnace?
Is it the outlet of the forced circulation pipe at the bottom of the tower?
When the dewaxing oil collection tank is placed externally, that is, when a wax oil tank or a vaporized fuel collection tank is used externally, and when a sludge oil tank is employed, such tanks require an oil-gas balance line to ensure equilibrium with the vacuum distillation tower. If a vent line is installed for the dewaxing oil pump or the sludge oil pump, it generally also needs to be connected to the vacuum distillation tower
I remember there were steam jet pumps on top of the tower; it was the first time I heard of a balance port.
Vacuum extraction can be done simply through the reflux tank at the top of the tower; as for the balance port, it’s not clear which one is being referred to.
