What by-products do refineries have? Someone who understands the manufacturing process, please give some guidance

The by-products of refineries actually depend mainly on the equipment setup in those refineries; different manufacturers will have different by-products, such as sludge and sulfur. As long as they are not the target products we are aiming to obtain, I believe they can all be classified as by-products
There’s basically very little left. The rest is used as fuel or exported to other manufacturers as chemical materials!
If there is a complete refining chain, such as atmospheric and vacuum distillation, catalytic processing, coking, hydrogen addition, treatment of acidic water, sulfur recovery, gas separation, and MTBE production, then there are few by-products; the only by-products resulting from crude oil entering the plant are dry gas and coke
In modern refining plants, there is no strict distinction between primary and secondary products; it’s merely the different processes employed by various companies and the target products they aim to produce that differ.
Different routes produce different by-products. But personally, I think there is still potential in using preheating.
Refineries produce by-products such as liquefied gas, hydrogen, sulfur, and ammonia.
