Equipment selection issues for transporting/crushing coal?

I’m conducting research for a company and would appreciate your help: The process conditions and parameters are as follows – 600 T/H of raw coal with a particle size of less than 400 millimeters is crushed, after which two-thirds of it (400 T/H) goes to the coal grinder where it is finely ground into coal powder to be used in slurry production for Texaco gasification. The remaining one-third (200 T/H) of the coal undergoes further crushing to achieve a particle size of less than 13 millimeters, after which it is used as fuel in fluidized bed boilers. I hope someone willing to help can suggest what type of structure should be used for the crusher, as well as what type and structure are suitable for the coal grinder. Thank you!! :handshake
I think a ring coal crusher should be chosen for crushing, while a ball mill is more suitable for grinding coal into powder.
My suggestion: It is recommended to install a screening device before the primary crushing stage, in order to remove particles and dust smaller than 20 MM and channel them as raw material for gasification coal grinding. My rough estimate is that this portion of material accounts for 10–20% of the total amount (550 t/h), which can help reduce the energy consumption associated with primary crushing. It is also easier for a hammer crusher to meet the required crushing capacity of 550 t/h compared to a roller crusher; moreover, the resulting particle size can be kept below 25–30 MM. Since circulating fluidized bed boilers have high requirements regarding the particle size and dust content of the coal used as fuel, it is advisable to add another screening device after primary crushing, to send any particles larger than 20 MM to a secondary crusher for further processing before use in the boiler. In my opinion, a roller crusher is fully capable of meeting these requirements in terms of crushing capacity, particle size, and dust control; of course, other types of fine crushers with different designs can also be used.
