Is it easy to find a job in road and bridge engineering these days?

In fact, whether it’s easy to find a job depends mainly on your abilities. If you perform well in school and have good practical experience, then you’ll have a chance to get into the company you want to work for. If your academic performance is average, then things are definitely uncertain!

It’s easy to find, as long as you’re willing to go to the site; it’s harder to say if it’s only in a design institute, but even there you still need to go to the site.

Entering a design institute right after graduation is not necessarily a good thing! It’s also a good option to pursue a career in an engineering company!

I think as long as the requirements aren’t too high and employment is all that’s needed, it shouldn’t be difficult. If the requirements are higher, it depends on an individual’s abilities……

It’s hard to find a job these days. If you have an excellent record at school, strong learning abilities, and are willing to learn new things, then you don’t necessarily have to switch to a field related to your major. Give yourself more room to adapt to society by starting from the bottom; who knows, you might meet someone who can recognize your talents. The postgraduate students from our organization are not from their major; it seems their fields of study are not very related. Through hard work and diligent study, they have achieved excellent results and earned recognition from their supervisors and colleagues.

The economy is shrinking, and all industries are struggling. Yet road and bridge construction projects are on the increase rather than decreasing, which is related to the investment in infrastructure. But we need to look at the long term. To give two examples of how things change over time: in the 1960s and 1970s, university graduates majoring in agriculture and water resources would become deputy county-level officials as soon as they joined the revolutionary movement； But these days, it’s not easy to find a job as a graduate in agricultural water resources. In the 1980s, the structural engineering field was the most in demand; back then, people only focused on building the structures themselves, with little consideration given to the fact that the basics were sufficient (you can still see many old buildings today whose walls don’t even have plaster on them – the bricks are visible right away). So often, it was the structural engineers who handled all the aspects related to building construction as well ； Now that people’s material standards have improved and they are more discerning, the status of the architecture field has surpassed that of the structural engineering field ； These days, more attention is paid to the planning of residential communities, so the status of the planning profession has also increased ； The structural engineering field always follows behind, right?
