The pump shaft material is 2Cr13, 42CrMo or 3Cr13, which one is more suitable. Medium sewage, slight corrosion.

API682 2004: Flushing plan 52 Flushing plan 52 or arrangement 2 (pressureless double sealing system) is used when the conveyed medium is not allowed to leak into the atmosphere. Option 52 includes dual face seals and sealant fluid between seals. The sealing fluid is contained in a sealed tank, and the sealing tank is connected to the ventilation system, so the sealing fluid pressure is close to atmospheric pressure. Internal seal leakage is the leakage of the transported medium into the sealing fluid. Scheme 52 shows very good performance when the vapor pressure of the conveying medium is higher than the sealing fluid pressure and the conveying medium is a clean, non-polymerizing fluid. The transported media will flash out of the sealed tank and the vapors can escape through the ventilation system. If the vapor pressure of the transported medium is lower than the pressure of the sealing fluid sealing tank, the leakage will remain in the form of liquid and be mixed with the sealing fluid. If the internal seal leakage is not detected in time, a large amount of the transported medium will leak into the sealing fluid, causing the space between the two seals to be completely filled with the transported medium. In this case, leakage of the external seal can cause the conveyed medium to leak into the atmosphere. Plan 52 is also not suitable for dirty or aggregated media.
It should be 2Cr13 which is better. Its corrosion resistance should be better than 3Cr13, and 42CrMo should be more suitable for high temperature occasions, with average corrosion resistance.
