Those who have watched \"Prison Break\" know that Mike is a structural engineer. Are the things he does in the series based on real technical knowledge, or are they just tricks to deceive the viewers? For example, in Season 1, there was that scene where he used lights to locate the spots where the walls needed to be demolished in the underground passages. I’m really curious about that.
For specific occasions, special methods are used, and someone needs to come up with them~
It must be something based on common sense, so that it can be understood by the general audience. Structural engineers should be able to do more.
:) In the scene where Mike hits the wall, what’s being used actually is the concept of stress concentration from Hooke’s law; he aims to create several irregular sharp corners in the wall in order to cause cracks at those corners, which then allows for further damage. It’s shown in an exaggerated manner in the movie, but actually lights aren’t necessary – as long as you find the right distance, that’s enough, haha!
