The end of the tie rod with the nut is fixed on the inside (shell side) of the tube plate. Since there are already screw holes on the tube plate, adding a nut would be unnecessary. If it is placed outside, please tell me how to seal it. Therefore, it must be fixed on the baffle, the manufacturing process is simple, and the installation is easy.
For fixed tube sheet type, assembly is not possible. Other forms of assembly are difficult. At the same time it is not necessary.
Does the poster mean that both ends of the tie rod are fixed on the tube plate? If so, the assembly process will be more difficult.

One end of the tie rod is usually fixed to the tube plate on one side, usually by wire connection, and then the distance tube and baffle are installed on the tie rod. At the other end, the baffle plate is finally fixed with a nut to fix the entire tie rod. In this way, a tube plate, all the baffles and distance tubes are installed as a whole, and then the tube is passed through, and then the heat exchanger is assembled. Whether it is vertical or horizontal, the structure is the same.

That's it: First screw the tie rod on the tube plate, then penetrate it into the distance tube, put the upper baffle plate through the distance tube, and repeat the above baffle straight to the baffle plate. Screw on the nut and tighten it. For the tube speed that is not large, follow the above method, then insert it into the cylinder and pass through the heat exchanger. The other end of the tube is placed on the tube plate, and the heat exchange tube is drawn out. Of course, there are other things such as connecting the tube in the middle. Not to mention, for heat exchangers with larger diameters, it is best to move the sleeve body to the front in one step, that is, first install the tube plate and cylinder with bolt holes, and then proceed with the above process.
