After reading your post about the fluctuations in the liquid level in the upper section of the main washing tower under high load, I would like to ask how you resolved this issue. The same is true for us; at around 80% load, the liquid level fluctuates greatly, which affects the subsequent liquid level control. Please advise. Thank you! In our plant’s low-temperature methanol washing unit, there was a problem where liquid accumulated in the section from the main washing stage at the top of the absorber to the CO2 absorption stage; the liquid level fluctuated between 5% and 95%. No matter what adjustments were made, the issue couldn’t be resolved, and even the management wasn’t able to find a solution. I’ve seen posts from others before that said: 1. The design of the internal components of the tower is substandard; 2. Tray blockage ; 3. Methanol pollution. I think it was well said; everyone is welcome to continue the in-depth discussion!
Our factory also has situations like the one you mentioned; such situations are definitely due to design issues. We want to carry out the modification during the next major overhaul; for now, the solution is to minimize the circulation volume in order to control it. No good method has been found yet. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to share them.
