The company’s gate station converted the intelligent rotary flow meter into an intelligent turbine flow meter; in order to analyze the measurement performance of this turbine flow meter, a difference analysis was conducted sequentially for the measurements taken at the upstream unit, the first station, and the gate station. In January, the metering device in the DN100 pipeline at the gate station was replaced from an intelligent screw-in flow meter with an intelligent turbine flow meter. Below are the flow data statistics for this flow meter over the past month. Calculation conditions: 0.1 MPa under standard conditions, temperature 20°C. The daily gas consumption for Nanshan is set at 900 cubic meters per day. Formula for calculating losses: SY/T5922-94 \"Specifications for the Operation and Management of Natural Gas Transmission Pipelines\"; data is provided in Appendix 1. 1. The measurement value from the orifice plate flow meter at the first station can serve as a valid reference for the measurement carried out by the upstream gas supply party. When the flow rate is within the specified range, the relative error of this orifice plate flow meter remains stable, indicating that its measurements are fairly accurate ; 2. During the Spring Festival, there is high traffic at the stations; during peak periods of gas usage, the turbine flow rate exceeds the measurement range of the flow meter. In some cases, the flow rate is above 90% of this measurement range, which may result in underestimated values ; 3. Analysis of the reasons affecting the measurement accuracy of intelligent turbine flowmeters: During the Spring Festival, the flow rate at the station is high, and the flow rate during peak usage times exceeds the measurement range of the flowmeter ; The flow rate is above 90% of the measurement range for most of the time ; l Error between the estimated value of 900 for Nanshan’s gas volume and the actual value ; l The measurement principle of intelligent turbine flowmeters and their inherent measurement errors. 4. Overall, the relative error of the turbine flowmeter is below 5%, indicating good stability. Personally, I think you should analyze them separately – that is, compare the differences in flow between the main station and the starting station; this mainly reflects the relationship with upstream stations. Secondly, analyze the differences in flow between the starting station and the terminal station.
