Our company is a newly established private oil refining enterprise, and its employees are beginners recruited from technical schools. I need to take them for training outside the company. If there are anyone with experience in education and training, could you advise on what aspects need attention during such external training, as well as how to manage it?
1. Build good relationships locally, including with the refineries and the local community. 2. When living away from home, things are not easy; one must strictly keep a tight rein on oneself. 3. Receive training in advance and return to contribute to their own development. 4. It is essential to master theory; if one wants to make progress, it is impossible to do so without studying theory. One will start to realize this after two or three years. 5. Strengthen examinations; things that are important for appearances must be done. 6. Through on-site practice, it is necessary to raise questions; after returning, one gives lectures based on those questions – this is an excellent way to improve one’s skills. 7. Have someone who understands technology go to the training with you. It makes it easier to explain problems.

Manage strictly, maintain good relationships, learn and ask more questions; there’s no need to make it too long
1. Improve relations with actual manufacturers, and gather more information*; 2. Have people with certain technical skills take charge and conduct regular tests to facilitate explanations and improvement ; 3. Ensure proper safety measures and strictly manage one’s own personnel ; 4. Allow trainees to be more involved in activities such as operating procedures, accident response plans, startup plans, and DCS screen creation in order to improve their skills ; 5. It is necessary to study *theory, and regular thematic discussions should be organized to improve understanding.
This is my team’s learning* program. Find a way to give each team some money so that they can treat people to meals and build good relationships. Plan to send the hydrogen production unit to a certain petrochemical company for field practice. I. Purpose of the practice: To use the actual conditions at the plant site to deepen, reinforce, and master the PFD and P&ID diagrams of this unit ; Use on-site equipment to understand hydrogen production facilities and master the basic operation methods of individual devices ; Be familiar with and have a basic grasp of the operating procedures for hydrogen production equipment (including internal and external operations) ; Have a comprehensive understanding of various accidents that may occur with the device, as well as the appropriate measures to address them ; There is a clear approach and thorough understanding of starting up and shutting down the equipment. II. Implementation schedule and requirements: This implementation will last for 2 months and is planned to be divided into 4 phases. During the actual operation period, work is carried out on a five-shift, three-shift basis, with shifts divided into day shift, first night shift, and second night shift. 1. In the first phase, the focus is on learning the process flow of hydrogen production facilities, which mainly includes the processes involved in gas generation and hydrogen purification. Requirement: It is necessary to understand and master the process flow of hydrogen production plants, and compare it with the process flow of our plant to identify any differences. 2. In the second phase, the focus is on learning the operation of hydrogen production facility equipment. Requirement: Have a clear understanding and thorough knowledge of the basic operations of the equipment, and be able to verbally instruct on how to start and stop it on-site, as well as indicate the locations of the relevant controls. There is a certain understanding of emergency handling for equipment. 3. In the third phase, the focus is on learning the operation of hydrogen production equipment, as well as the symptoms of common accidents and emergency response procedures. Requirement: One must have a clear understanding and thorough knowledge of the operation of hydrogen production systems, common accident scenarios, and emergency response procedures; be able to handle such situations verbally on-site and identify the relevant locations for taking action. I have a deeper understanding and mastery of accidents and emergency handling related to my equipment. 4. Phase 4: Mainly focuses on learning the startup and shutdown procedures for hydrogen production plants. Requirement: There must be a clear approach and thorough understanding regarding the startup and shutdown of hydrogen production units; one should be able to carry out these operations correctly verbally on-site and indicate the locations of the relevant procedures. A thorough understanding and mastery of the operation of our equipment is necessary. III. Assessment Method: This practical training period lasts for 2 months, with 4 exams planned to be held. One exam per stage. After the field* is completed, each person must submit an electronic version of the field* report. The assessment methods for each exam are based on the previous evaluation standards used in the company’s training programs. IV. I am in charge of education and training at my workplace, and in my opinion, there are mainly a few key points: 1. First of all, it’s necessary to clarify the goals that learning should achieve; 2. It is important to maintain a good relationship with the training institution; this allows one to acquire the knowledge desired in a more comprehensive manner, as well as creates a favorable learning environment ; 3. It is necessary to maintain a proper balance between leisure and work during the learning period, so that employees can stay energetic while learning ; 4. It’s also important to pay attention to what you eat when you’re outside; this is a crucial issue ; 5. It is essential to require employees to take notes, conduct regular checks, and establish reward and punishment systems; this can effectively motivate them to learn. A little personal advice, hoping it will be useful to you.
