Could everyone please explain why the air valves in reciprocating compressors tend to break down frequently?
The product quality is poor. There is a problem with the operating procedure.
There are likely many reasons for this problem. Poor quality of the equipment is one of them; the gas used may also be acidic. Insufficient cooling water for the compressor can lead to high temperatures, which in turn causes damage to components such as gas valves. Additionally, the equipment might not have been installed properly. That’s about the extent of my knowledge on this topic – these are the issues I’ve encountered. Common reasons for valve failures: 1. Quality issues with the valves, particularly poor quality of the valve discs, as well as wear and breakage. 2. Impure gas. 3. Excessively high temperatures. 4. Poor quality of the springs

I have analyzed several possible reasons for the failure of the gas valve: 1. The quality of the valve itself is poor; 2. The gas is too dirty, containing water; 3. Improper installation; 4. Excessively high temperature.

Is it worth repairing the air valve – is it the valve disc, the valve disc spring, or the valve body? If it is the valve body, it is usually because the set screw is not tightened properly, causing the valve body to vibrate with the compression frequency of the piston.

Could we also consider the reasons related to the manufacturing process? ; For example, if the required inlet pressure is 0.05 Mpa but the actual inlet pressure reaches 0.07 Mpa, the fatigue of the valve elements accelerates, and so on.
