Is there oil in the semi-water gas produced for gas generation? No way. If it does exist, it must have been brought in due to a problem with the circulating water used for gas washing. The components of semi-water gas are generally: 42% hydrogen, 28% carbon monoxide, 8% carbon dioxide, 20% nitrogen, and 2.0% inert gases; of course, the composition varies among different manufacturers
Composition and contents of semi-water gas produced by fixed-bed gas generation: CO2, O2, CO, H2, N2, CH4 + Ar, H2S. Percentage contents: 8–12%, 0.2–0.6%, 28–32%, 38–42%, 18–21%, 0.8–1.2%, 0.4–1.5 (grams/m3). I’ve never heard of the so-called oil content; how can a gas contain oil? It’s probably coal tar. For desulfurization, there are electrostatic decoking devices, which should be able to remove it.
Gas produced by blowing steam and air (or oxygen-enriched air) into a gas generator in a 1:1 ratio, where they react with red-hot anthracite or coke. It is a mixture of water gas and producer gas. It can also be obtained by mixing water gas and producer gas, which are produced separately, in a certain ratio. It is a special case of mixed gas. After removing impurities such as oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and sulfides, this gas becomes semi-water gas with a hydrogen-to-nitrogen ratio of 3:1, and is used as a feed gas for ammonia synthesis. It can also be used as fuel, but its calorific value is lower compared to ordinary water gas. Oil mainly consists of tar and similar substances, which can be removed using methods such as electrostatic capture.

Texaco water-coal slurry gas generation process: H2: 38%, CO: 43%, CO2: 14.8%, N2: 0.8%, CH4+Ar: 1%, O2: 0.1%, H2S: 0.3%. There is no oil in our production process. The oil you are referring to should be coal tar.
