On March 4, the reference price in Jiangsu was 2750–2850. Local manufacturers were operating at normal levels; supply of goods in the market was adequate. Downstream factories made purchases based on their needs, while intermediaries maintained only small inventory levels and adopted a cautious attitude, awaiting further developments. The atmosphere in market negotiations was calm. The reference price in Ningbo is 2850–2950. The performance of local manufacturers’ equipment is average, and overall market transaction volume is rising slowly. At present, most buyers are adopting a wait-and-see attitude toward the market, so it is expected that the market will remain stable in the short term. The reference price in South China is 2800–2900. Current market trading activity is moderate; overall demand from downstream ester manufacturers is good, but buyers’ interest in purchasing remains low. Coupled with an ample local supply, the market is remaining stable for now. The reference price in North China is 2,900–3,000; the atmosphere for market negotiations and transaction volumes have seen a slight improvement, and the operation levels of major downstream chloroacetic acid producers in the area are also gradually increasing. Under the current circumstances, the market is showing a slow upward trend.
I heard that the price of chloroacetic acid has gone up; acetic acid prices should also start to rise
The price of acetic acid should currently be low, but it will still take some time before it rebounds.
Among chemical products, acetic acid is recovering more slowly. A price of 3,000 yuan per ton is not even enough to cover costs.
If only manufacturing costs are taken into account, 2800 is sufficient; however, when all costs are considered, an additional 500 to 600 yuan is needed, meaning a cost of over 2800 is required to ensure uninterrupted production
