Do I need to study the Fortran language specifically?

Understanding what knowledge is needed when using software: For example, if you don’t know which thermodynamic method to apply in a certain system, you can look up relevant literature. While reading that literature, if you find that certain basic concepts are unclear, you should consult textbooks. Another example is when encountering a calculation problem whose result differs from what you expected; in such cases, it’s necessary to understand the relevant process knowledge, so you need to seek relevant materials. Again, if you come across basic concepts that you don’t understand, turn to textbooks. From my personal experience, when I first started using simulation software, I thought that no special basic knowledge was required – just knowing how to operate it was enough. But as I used it more extensively, I realized that various types of knowledge are needed, including physical chemistry, chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, chemical process engineering, hydraulics related to towers, numerical analysis, English, and so on.
