I want to use two thermostats to raise the temperature. First, one of them is used to raise the temperature to 90 degrees, and that level is maintained for 30 minutes; then another thermostat is used to raise the temperature to 120 degrees, with that level being maintained for 50 minutes. After that, the power supply should be turned off automatically. The entire process needs to be fully automatic – please provide a circuit diagram! Are two time relays and two AC contactors required? ? The thermostat used is a standard single-limit type, XMTD-2001
One thing is unclear: what is your heating source? Is it heated by an electric heating wire or by steam? The automatic control units resulting from these two different heating methods are entirely distinct. Based on the electrical components you mentioned – the time relay and the AC contactor – it is likely that the heating source uses a furnace wire for heating. In that case, it is possible to build an electronic temperature control board; there are many diagrams available online or in electronic publications for this purpose. A thermistor is also needed to monitor the temperature of the oven. If you do not have the skills in electronic development and design, it is advisable to purchase a temperature controller. Such a controller should have a temperature setting function, as well as an output for variable AC voltage of 0–220V/380V. It should also include a digital output that can be used to control the on/off operation of the power supply to the main circuit of the AC contactor. Although this small control system is not complex, it certainly cannot be solved simply by using a few electrical components such as time relays and AC contactors.
