I have a boiler built in 1978 that is still in good working order. Are there any boilers from an earlier period?
Strong, you’re almost catching up to me. The typical design life of a conventional boiler is around 20 years, and a pressure test must be conducted after every 100,000 hours of operation.

Yes, the power plant in Xicun, Guangzhou is quite old.
One of the fuel boilers in our factory was built in 1976; it’s even older than me. Still playing the main role; poor us, we still have to keep playing along.
The power plant is old, but the boilers can still be replaced! :lol

I’ve seen steam injection boilers from the early 1980s, Canadian-made; they worked well but had difficulty starting up, and the boiler tubes were replaced
I’ve seen a few locomotive boilers; they are said to be from the 1950s. After they were phased out of use on railways, they were taken to factories for reuse. This technology must be even older than what was mentioned above!
A fuel boiler from 76? What kind of oil is being used for cooking? It must be very different from the fuel boilers in use today!
