Under no circumstances should you try to pull the person who has been electrocuted directly. 3. For high-voltage electric shock incidents, the following methods can be used to disconnect the victim from the power source: 3.1 Immediately notify the relevant authorities to cut off the power supply. 3.2 Wear insulating gloves and insulating shoes, and use insulating tools appropriate for the voltage level to turn off the switch in sequence. 3.3 Use a high-voltage insulating rod to separate the wires from the person who has been electrocuted. 4. If the person who has been electrocuted is working at a height when the electric current hits them, it is necessary to cut off the power supply in order to prevent the victim from falling and suffering additional injuries. 4.1 If the victim’s injuries are not severe, they are conscious but feel anxious, have numb limbs or general weakness, or if they were unconscious for a while but have now regained consciousness, they should be allowed to rest quietly without moving around. Close monitoring should be carried out, and the victim should be taken to the hospital. 4.2 If the person who has been electrocuted is seriously injured and has lost consciousness, but their heart is still beating and they are breathing, they should be moved to a place with good air circulation. Their clothes should be removed, and they should be laid down in a supine position, with a soft cloth placed under them so that their head is slightly lower than their shoulders; this helps to prevent breathing difficulties. If it’s cold, care must be taken to keep the person warm, and they should be rushed to the hospital as soon as possible. If it is found that the person who has been electrocuted is having difficulty breathing or experiencing convulsions, preparations should be made immediately to carry out rescue measures in case of cardiac arrest or respiratory failure. 4.3 If the person who has been electrocuted is seriously injured, with breathing stopped or the heart stopped, or both, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions should be carried out immediately to provide first aid, and the victim should be taken to a hospital. Resuscitation should not be stopped while transporting the victim to the hospital; many people who suffer electric shocks die on their way there. 4. After 4 people are electrocuted, they may experience nerve paralysis, respiratory arrest, cardiac stoppage, and fall into a comatose state; this is usually a state of apparent death, and it must not be treated as actual death, allowing hasty actions to be taken. 4.5 For those who have been electrocuted, especially those who have fallen from a great height, special attention must be paid to the process of moving them. Many of these victims suffer not only from electrical injuries but also from fractures; improper handling, such as broken ribs piercing the heart, can lead to death. 4.6 For electrocuted victims in a state of apparent death, prompt and sustained rescue efforts are necessary; many such victims have been saved after four hours or even longer of rescue attempts. There are cases of people who were revived after six hours of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions. Only after a doctor’s diagnosis confirms death and resuscitation efforts are ceased; 5. Artificial respiration is an emergency treatment method applied after the electrocuted person stops breathing. Among the various methods of artificial respiration, mouth-to-mouth respiration is the most effective. 5. Before performing artificial respiration, quickly remove any items on the electrocuted person’s body that could obstruct breathing, such as collars or shirts, and clear out any food particles, broken teeth, blood clots, or mucus from the mouth to prevent blockage of the airways.
