Our factory has the capability to analyze sodium methoxide! Just hydrolyze sodium methoxide and then titrate it with an acid standard!

Take 0.1–0.15 g of solid sodium methoxide, dissolve it in 100 ml of water, and then titrate it with a sulfuric acid standard solution of C(1/2H2SO4) = 0.1 mol/L, using methyl red as an indicator; the endpoint is reached when the color changes from yellow to red. CH3ONa + H2O = CH3OH + NaOH NaOH + 1/2H2SO4 = 1/2Na2SO4 + H2O
