After some chemical wastewater, such as p-nitrophenol and 2,3-acid production wastewater, is adsorbed by resin, not only can the COD of the effluent be reduced to about 200, but also the raw materials in the wastewater can be recovered, which has a certain economic value. This depends on your product and production process. Many wastewater cannot be treated with resin.
Chemical wastewater is difficult to treat due to its complex composition and good water solubility. It is certainly good to use physical and chemical methods to reduce COD and recover part of the organic matter. If it cannot be recycled, it is actually the transfer of pollutants, and the treatment of physical and chemical sludge is also a problem. Therefore, it is not important which method is used. What is important is how to treat it most thoroughly and most importantly.
Specific problems, specific analysis. The production process must be continuously optimized. This is the fundamental way. All problems cannot be solved at the end.
I am going to use a plate and frame filter press to pre-treat and filter the wastewater from chemical production. I don’t know how effective it is and how feasible it is. Can any friends who have used it share their experience?

I have debugged a petrochemical wastewater. The water volume is small, only 300 cubic meters per day, and the COD is only about 400. This wastewater adopts the process of hydrolysis and contact oxidation after oil separation. The water output is good, the COD is around 50, and other indicators fully comply with the emission standards.
