Benzene cannot use asbestos gaskets; equipment and pipe flanges can use flexible graphite gaskets, wound gaskets, metal-lined gaskets, and ring gaskets
Can I use a polytetrafluoroethylene-lined asbestos gasket?
As long as it is pressed properly, using an asbestos pad is fine
