In the feeding sequence of the vaporization furnace, to ensure safety, the coal slurry is generally fed into the furnace about twenty seconds earlier than oxygen. It’s not that the coal slurry enters the furnace 20 seconds earlier than oxygen; rather, it’s the valve in the coal slurry pipeline that opens earlier than the oxygen valve. There is a process of transporting slurry; based on the amount of slurry, the diameter of the slurry pipes, and the distance from the slurry cut-off valve to the burner, it is possible to estimate how long it takes for the slurry to reach the burner once the cut-off valve is opened. When the oxygen valve is opened, oxygen enters the furnace almost instantaneously; it is sufficient to ensure that the coal slurry enters the furnace before oxygen. During testing, water and nitrogen can be used for simulation; the key is to ensure safety.
