There are many cases where the renovation of old projects requires connecting new pipes with old pipes; in some cases the materials are the same, while in others they are different. For pipes made of the same material, such as CPVC, what is the best way to connect them? And for pipes made of different materials, what is the best method of connection? I hope experienced professionals can share their insights, preferably with examples.
CPVC can be bonded. Pipes made of different materials can be connected using flanges.
Components made of the same material can be connected directly. Flanges made of different materials are used; grades may vary, and welding of dissimilar steels is not permitted.
