What factors should be considered when designing the spring of a safety valve? Are the initial pressure, the opening high pressure, and the opening high – are these three factors sufficient? Should the spring stiffness coefficient of a safety valve under specific pressure be constant?
It’s difficult for process engineers to answer this question; I suggest you check ASME VIII UG-136.
