I have also been working in the safety field for many years; during that time I have changed jobs several times and moved between different industries. For this type of work, I think the first step is to choose the industry: in sectors such as hazardous chemicals and power generation, there is a high level of emphasis on safety, which makes it easier for those working in safety-related roles, and these roles also come with better compensation. In some mechanical industries, the risk level is low, and the emphasis on safety is also low; as a result, supervision is minimal, and the status and compensation for those working in safety areas are lower. Furthermore, within the same industry, it is also necessary to choose companies carefully; those that have experienced accidents tend to be in better condition. Moreover, foreign-owned and state-owned companies are generally better than private companies. Ultimately, it is related, on the one hand, to the level of risk associated with the enterprise, and on the other hand, to the safety awareness of the management. The idea that one’s actions in terms of safety are determined by their position makes a lot of sense in my opinion! We welcome colleagues to share their insightful views!

The coal and construction industries are high-risk sectors; the slightest carelessness can lead to accidents. And the treatment and measures fail to keep up. Maybe the elders in Shanxi Province should be changed.
It can be said that for the six types of enterprises required to obtain safety licenses – coal mines, non-coal mines, enterprises producing hazardous chemicals, construction companies, enterprises producing civil explosive materials, and enterprises producing fireworks and firecrackers – **the supervision is quite strict. This is an industry difference. Regarding differences among enterprises, it can be said that large state-owned enterprises (such as Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, etc.) and wholly foreign-owned enterprises (due to the adoption of advanced foreign safety management practices) have the best safety management systems ； Next would be medium-sized state-owned enterprises, whose safety management still needs further improvement ； Finally, there are still significant shortcomings in the management of small enterprises, private businesses, and so on.
