XH-1060 Labor-Saving Modified Ethylene Phosphating PrimerSpecifications: Model No.: XH-1060; Price: Date of release: 2003/8/25
Detailed information: Product description: This is a two-component phosphating primer produced by Sichuan Xianghe Coatings Co., Ltd., a joint venture company affiliated with Xianghe Coatings’ headquarters in Chengdu. It is formulated by adding modifiers, rust inhibitors, and other additives to conventional ethylene phosphating primers, using advanced manufacturing processes. It offers the advantages of replacing traditional phosphating treatments, enhancing the adhesion of organic coatings, and providing good adhesion to metals such as steel, lead, zinc, aluminum, magnesium, stainless steel, as well as ceramics. Recommended use: Can be used as a primer for various metal components and equipment such as boats, bridges, and instruments. Technical parameters:
Color: Original paint – zinc-yellow, translucent and viscous liquid; Phosphating solution – colorless to slightly yellow, transparent liquid.
Viscosity (applicated in a –4 cup), s (at 25°C): ≥60.
Theoretical coating area and film thickness: 5–8 m²/kg; dry film thickness: 8–12 μm.
Time to surface dryness and full drying: 20 hours for surface dryness, 60 hours for full drying.
Application parameters: Mixing ratio (by weight): Paint : Phosphating solution = 4:1. Application method: Spraying, brushing. Amount of thinner used (%): A dedicated thinner should be used, with the amount being ≤10%. Mixing time (at 20°C): ≤12 hours. Surface preparation: Apply on a dust-free, oil-free, and dry surface. For new steel, the surface cleanliness can be treated to Sa1 or St2 level, after which painting can be carried out directly. For other construction surfaces, they must be clean and dry, free from contaminants such as grease and dust. Loose rust layers, scale, and old paint films should be removed to achieve a surface cleanliness level of St2. Cleaning can be carried out by manual or mechanical cleaning methods, or by high-pressure water washing. The construction temperature should be above 10°C. Storage and Packaging Storage: Store in a well-ventilated and dry place; the shelf life of the product is one year. Packaging: Paint: 16 kg/barrel; Phosphating solution: 20 kg/barrel or 4 kg/barrel. Notes: 1. When painting the workpiece, it is necessary to first remove any loose rust, oil, moisture, and other contaminants from the surface of the workpiece. 2. During preparation, the paint must first be poured into a non-metallic container; then, while stirring, the phosphating solution should be added slowly in proportion, after which the mixture should be left to stand for about 15 minutes. 3. If the prepared phosphating primer is too thick, it can be diluted using a mixture of ethanol (90% or higher) and butanol; water should not be used for dilution. 4. Theoretical coating area: refers to the amount of primer consumed, without taking into account the effects of the actual painting environment, painting methods, painting techniques, surface condition, as well as structure, shape, and surface area during the actual painting process. 5. The actual drying time of the paint film is generally related to air flow, temperature, film thickness, and the number of coating layers, and is influenced by these factors. Therefore, these factors must be taken into account during construction. 6. Tool cleaning: Clean it using the special diluent provided for the XH-1060 type paint. 7. After the application of the final topcoat is completed, it must undergo 7 days of self-curing before it can be put into use. If the ambient temperature is below 10°C, the self-curing time must be appropriately extended as well.
