I’ve found some classic European and American movies and posted them on the forum; I hope everyone will like them! The table of contents is as follows: King Arthur, Kingdom of Heaven, Notting Hill, Julius Caesar, Troy, Alexander, Pearl Harbor, The Shawshank Redemption, Ice Age. Learning English from literary and cinematic works is often unreliable; even when relying only on English subtitles or without any subtitles at all, it may at most improve one’s listening skills in English. As for speaking, one can usually only produce very short sentences. Therefore, I believe that engaging with literature and films is basically ineffective for improving one’s ability to speak English
Well, what was said upstairs is correct; in fact, watching English movies can only help develop a sense for the language, and it really doesn’t allow one to learn any substantial knowledge. But I believe that movies from Europe and the United States are excellent both in terms of content and style of presentation. Watching the original English versions more often can help create a psychological affinity for the English-speaking environment, boost people’s motivation to learn, enhance their understanding of the English language environment, and broaden their experiences.
