Questions regarding the container skirt

Our company has designed a vertical vessel with a design pressure of 0.3 MPa, an operating temperature of 100 degrees, and a medium that is an aminoacid-containing gas. The diameter of the vessel is 1.8 meters and its total height is 4.5 meters. A skirt is required, with a height of 1 meter. Is it necessary to perform calculations for this skirt as well? If it’s not taken into account, what is the basis for that?
Whether to use a skirt base depends on the capabilities of your equipment; vertical equipment doesn’t necessarily require a skirt base, but if one is used, it must be verified.
If the client insists on doing it that way, there’s nothing can be done. If manufacturing costs are a concern, supported bearings can be chosen as they are simpler and require less material.
It does not meet the conditions of a tower, so no calculation is required.
With this tower serving as a skirt foundation, experience shows that it has clear excess strength, so no verification calculations are necessary at all.
According to the original poster, this device is merely a vertical unit, and wind loads are not taken into account. Based on the height-to-diameter ratio you mentioned, the anchor bolts serve only a fixing purpose and do not require any calculation.
