Support position of U-tube heat exchanger

The installation positions of the supports for fixed-tube-sheet heat exchangers are clearly specified in GB151; then, for U-tube heat exchangers, what factors determine their installation positions? How do people consider this in their regular design work? When doing this, we try to install the saddle as close as possible to the outlet of the tube box, so as to improve the stress conditions on the saddle. Of course, in addition to these factors, other considerations must also be taken into account, such as nozzle restrictions, tube sheet flange limitations, and other structural factors.

Original poster, GB151 applies to shell-and-tube heat exchangers and is also suitable for U-tube heat exchangers. Additionally, the location of the saddles can be referred to in Chapter on Supports of HG20583; I believe this will be helpful to you
