I would like to ask the experienced colleagues: how should the mineral consumption of sulfuric acid be calculated?
I’ve been checking for several days with no response, so I’ll explain it: based on the acid production rate, mineral consumption (kg/ton) = 0.934 × 100 × 1000 / acid production rate. Calculated based on sulfur utilization rate: Mineral consumption (kg/ton) = 0.934 × 100 × 1000 / sulfur utilization rate. Among them, 0.934 represents the theoretical mineral consumption for 100% sulfuric acid.

Acid production rate % = ×100; Sulfur utilization rate % = ×100. Note: 1. Adjusted conversion rate % = Conversion rate % + (100 – Conversion rate %) × Exhaust gas recovery rate %. 2. Other loss rates: Generally 0.5% is used according to standards. Adjustments can be made by adding (or subtracting) a certain amount of mineral usage based on the production volume for that month and the inventory level of raw materials, in order to make it as realistic as possible.

These formulas are all too abstract. There are too many errors in the intermediate analyses; they are too significant to lead to convincing results (can making arbitrary additions or subtractions to the amount of ore used be considered convincing?) ). :o The most accurate and practical algorithm is to conduct an inventory check every month, and accumulate the amount of standard ore consumed and the amount of standard acid produced during that month (accumulating these values as accurately as possible based on the analysis batches). Then, the amount of standard ore consumed ÷ the amount of standard acid produced = ore consumption. Total sulfur utilization rate = 0.934 ÷ ore consumption. The above results can be used to calculate the magnitude of the error in the intermediate analysis. :P (that’s when those formulas come in handy). If one wants to include the sulfur recovered from exhaust gases in the overall sulfur utilization rate, the sulfur contained in the products obtained from exhaust gas recovery can be converted into standard acid and included in the calculation. Daily inventory? That’s not very realistic, right? And the inventory is also very rough.
It’s a monthly inventory! :Although the L-inventory is rough, the error consists only of the difference between the current inventory and the inventory from last month; this is a very small amount compared to the monthly consumption and production levels, so the accuracy is still quite high. The inventory method should be the standard one, right?:lol 1. Raw materials: 1.1 Determine the stock quantity of standard ore as of the end of the previous month; 1.2 Record the quantity received on a daily basis (it should be weighed, right?) ), calculated by accumulating based on the grade analysis results of each batch ; 1. Conduct an inventory at the end of the month to determine the grade and moisture content (based on actual conditions, it can be based on the known grade or the average value of the last batches, etc.), and use this as the basis for the following month ; 1.4 Calculate the raw material consumption for this month. 2. Yield: The same as that of the raw materials. Accurate measurement is required when supplying acid externally.

Am I wrong? :o The inventory level is derived from the end-of-month inventory count. Last month’s inventory – This month’s inventory + This month’s incoming quantity = Raw material consumption (all values must be adjusted first before calculation).
