Currently, large-scale devices can operate! Small ones, especially those for home use, won’t work. There are mainly several reasons: 1. Raw material limitations – the crop straws found in the southern regions are not suitable for gasification as they tend to form sludge. The situation in the north is slightly better; it’s best to use the cores of corn cobs. 2. The tar produced is difficult to deal with, and at present, small-scale operations rely mainly on water filtration, resulting in relatively severe pollution. For large-scale installations, dolomite can be added, taking into account factors such as increasing the reaction temperature. Part of the tar is pyrolyzed. 3.
