How to obtain CO, a raw material for chemical industry, from household gas in a simple way. Currently, experiments require CO as a raw material; it is hoped that a simple device connected to the gas pipeline can be used to purify household gas. The initial idea is to use NaOH for gas washing and CaO for drying – I’m not sure if this will work. Discussions are welcome.
The poster should first understand the gas composition of the gas being used; generally, city gas should contain H2, CO, CO2, N2, and CH4. If pure CO is to be obtained, the method suggested by the original poster is clearly not feasible.
