All operations are within the specified range! The product is substandard!
Is a plate tower or a packed tower being used?
How long has your distillation unit been in use? Boiling the distillation tower should help.
Is it a new device or one with a longer operating time? Is the instability of the new device caused by uneven filling during the filling process? The instability of old equipment may be caused by blockages in the distillation tower, which lead to short circuits or other issues, thereby disrupting the distillation process
The original poster should be more specific – which exact indicators are not appropriate? There are too many factors affecting distillation; identifying the root cause of the problem is necessary to find an effective solution.
To align the opinions upstairs, LZ really should provide more details, such as the specific figures for the tower. If the distributor of a newly installed packed tower is not installed properly, leaks can occur, which makes it impossible to produce qualified products. It is possible to check whether the flow barrier coils are installed correctly and whether the seals at the distributor connections are in good condition.
It mainly depends on whether the tower pressure difference is too high to determine if it is a packing issue. I think it’s caused by flooding; first reduce the feed and adjust the reflux ratio, and the product will meet the standards after 3 hours.
I read it all at once but didn’t understand it. Since the operations are within the acceptable range, it’s worth considering whether the impurity content in crude methanol is too high or if there are other reasons; it’s not possible to follow uniform standards in all cases
