How can I modify the nozzle in PDMS so that it appears hollow? I’ve tried for ages with no result; can anyone with experience give me some advice?...
Dude, stop trying. PDMS, PDS, and the domestic version PDSOFT – all of their models are of the same quality; they’re rather rough. Not to mention the nozzles, even the pipes are cylindrical, with no indication of their wall thickness. The valves produced by SMARTPLANT have cone-shaped handwheels and control heads, which look even less appealing. Of course, the more detailed these elements are, the better, but a more detailed model requires more computing power and results in slower rendering speeds. The models that are quite detailed are AUTOPLANT and the domestically developed SPDA; the renderings are truly impressive, with various knobs, handles, and control elements appearing very realistic, and even the bolt holes on the flanges are clearly visible. It works very well when shown to customers. However, design can only be carried out in a 2D wireframe format; to view the model, a viewing tool is required. Using CAD’s 3D viewer not only results in slow performance but also prone to crashes. . I think PDMS offers a good balance; it has a fast rendering speed, and browsing is smooth without any lag. Designing in rendering mode is also seamless. The quality of the models is fairly decent compared to PDS and PDSOFT, and they look quite realistic.
