Does a plate heat exchanger require insulation? If so, where is the insulated area? It seems that none of the plate exchangers I’ve seen have insulation?
What I’ve seen also doesn’t have insulation, because the temperatures I’ve encountered weren’t very high. If the temperatures were too high, then it wouldn’t be a matter of insulation or not; instead, measures would need to be taken to protect the human body from burns.
The temperature isn’t too high; isn’t insulation needed? Will there be no heat loss? Under what temperature conditions is a plate heat exchanger used?
I’ve never seen a heat exchanger that needs to be insulated as well. . It is designed for heat exchange; the fluid inside circulates very quickly, so there is no need for insulation
Insulation also refers to insulated heat flow pipes, right? If the entire device is insulated, it seems to affect the heat exchange efficiency; using both air cooling and water cooling together should yield better results, right?
Common plate heat exchangers do not require insulation. And it should be easy to clean and disassemble. The pressure difference it has to withstand is low.
One of the advantages of plate heat exchangers over shell-and-tube heat exchangers is their low heat loss; in plate heat exchangers, only the outer plates of the heat transfer plates are exposed to the atmosphere, so heat loss is negligible, and no insulation measures are required. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers have high heat losses and require insulation. Therefore, plate heat exchangers do not require insulation due to their inherent characteristics.
