Is there anyone who can give some advice?
The purer, the better, but some impurity ions have little impact. Generally, it is based on the standards for refined salt water; it’s sufficient to control impurity ions such as calcium and magnesium. However, due to the very small amount used, it hardly has any significant impact on the quality of the brine.
We use food-grade sodium sulfite. Hehe.
Na2SO3: ≥96.0% (wt) Free alkali (as Na2CO3): ≤0.40% (wt) Fe: ≤0.03% (wt) Water-insoluble matter: ≤0.03% (wt)
