There is a flanged pressure transmitter, the ROSEMOUNT 3051, with a measurement range of 0–10 Mpa. Due to its installation location being three meters below the sampling point, there is an error of +32 Kpa shown on the pressure gauge. Is it necessary to correct this error?
If it is used within a range of 0–10 Mpa, there is no need for migration at all; the impact on measurement is too small to be considered.
If the measurement error is greater than 3%, it is advisable to migrate it during maintenance; the workload will not be significant.
I think performing a migration isn’t a difficult task at all; providing accurate data is a key factor in production
Just set it through the handheld controller and that’s it.
In terms of the measurement accuracy of the instruments, necessary adjustments should be made. From a process perspective, it is necessary to determine whether this parameter is important; if it is, then adjustments must be made. Increasing the pressure by +32KPa restores the instrument’s zero point to the normal measurement zero. :)
It should be migrated, although it has little impact on the measurement results.
You can estimate the static pressure difference caused by silicone oil on your own, to see how large that difference is, and then consider the migration
If the error is greater than 0.3%, and it exceeds the measurement error range of the instrument, it should be relocated
