Regarding the installation of the pipeline mixer: Our company has purchased a static pipeline mixer with specifications of DN250×1500 and PN1.0MPa for wastewater treatment. I would like to ask if there are any specific requirements for its installation. For example, what are the requirements regarding flow rate and pressure? What devices need to be installed before and after it? Is it necessary to install a bypass pipeline, or are there any other requirements?
It’s described in rather general terms; for ordinary pipe mixers, they just need to be connected directly to the pipes at both ends, with no need to consider anything else
It is best to install upstream and downstream valves as well as bypass lines, just like in control valves, to facilitate the removal of the mixer
Two inlets and one outlet – they can be connected directly to the corresponding pipes; there are no special requirements. Dual lines aren’t very useful
Just install it as a valve; there’s no need to worry about things like bypasses, inlet and outlet shut-off valves, or straight pipe sections before and after it. Doing so will only complicate what is already a simple issue. Remember: the simpler, the better! ! !
Our static mixer is DN300 in size, and it features corrugated plates made of 304L stainless steel. There are no special requirements for its installation; it doesn’t have front or rear valves or bypass systems. However, since the corrugated plates are quite close together, to prevent dirt from clogging them, we have installed a basket-type strainer in front of the static mixer. Are your materials clean? If they are, there’s no need to pack them; otherwise, cleaning a static mixer that has become clogged can be quite troublesome.
