I hadn’t used the GC2010 for over a month; when I turned it on today, the parameters remained unchanged – air flow: 400, hydrogen flow: 40. Both gases were supplied by a gas generator! It’s automatic ignition; when the instrument attempts to ignite, the air flow drops suddenly to 99, and ignition does not occur. The air flow then rises to 400, but automatic ignition still fails, and this pattern repeats over and over again! Please, experts, help me out. I’m extremely grateful
Since there is an automatic ignition function, the air flow rate is relatively low during ignition; only once the fire is ignited do the air and hydrogen flow rates return to normal. If it can be adjusted, the hydrogen flow rate or pressure can be increased, while the air flow rate or pressure can be decreased. It returns to normal after being ignited. The reason it won’t ignite is that the detector is under-cooled; just wait a little longer for the engine to heat up before attempting to ignite it again. If the detector’s temperature is low, it is difficult to ignite it; moreover, once ignited, condensation can occur, contaminating the detector and making it even harder to ignite. Therefore, it is necessary to wait until the detector reaches its normal operating temperature before attempting to ignite it. If the air flow is automatically regulated, turn it off first, wait 5 minutes before turning it on again, and then ignite it once the detector has warmed up properly. Personal opinion.
We have also encountered situations where ignition is not possible. In your case, if various methods fail to work, it might be that there is a problem with the gas distribution circuit; in other words, the gas flow rate indicated on the gauge is incorrect. You can use a flow meter to check it and calculate based on the actual values
Check the following flow rates using a soap film flow meter.
