I’ve changed jobs and need a letter of recommendation from my previous employer. Has anyone used one before?
You mean a salary certificate, right? At your workplace, you can usually ask the HR department to issue one; for things like taking out loans to buy a house or car, an income certificate is required. You can also ask HR to issue one when you leave the company! I’m not sure if it’s possible to get one after leaving the job. Try contacting HR at your former employer and ask them!
I heard from a colleague that when he bought a house and applied for his housing fund, they asked for proof of income; I’m not sure what that’s used for
To change jobs, one needs to provide an income certificate; I heard about this for the first time – it’s not used for obtaining a mortgage to buy a house or car
I heard about it for the first time; it’s quite novel. I’ve heard of cases where employers issue insurance certificates, showing how much each person has to pay and how much the company has to pay.
I had never heard of the need for a salary reference letter either; I experienced it today.
The HR person at the new company told me that the salary certificate is mainly used to determine the basis for insurance contributions; otherwise, it’s not clear how to determine that amount. I’m a bit confused. It seems like it doesn’t matter much. Isn’t the insurance contribution base supposed to correspond to the current salary level?
Haven’t encountered this situation yet: handshake
That’s crazy; I’ve only heard of termination certificates :)
