I am performing calculations for a distillation column; the type of tray used is a “fixed valve tray”. However, this type of tray is not available among the options provided in Aspen11.1. Which tray type should I choose then? Will different tray types affect the simulation results, and is it necessary to make some adjustments elsewhere in order to compensate for such effects? Thank you!

No, fixed valves and floating valves are not the same. However, it will have a certain impact on the calculations. It depends on what kind of data you want to obtain; adjust the parameters accordingly so that the results of the calculations have as little impact as possible on the data you need. But there will be some impact, to some extent.
