Aspen simulation error during crude oil distillation operation *** SEVERE ERROR: VAPOR OR LIQUID FLOW IN STAGE 1 IS TENDING TO DISAPPEAR. PLEASE REVIEW THE REFLUX/BOILUP SPECIFICATIONS, AS WELL AS THE LOAD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE HEATERS AND/OR PUMPS. Thank you all :)
A direct translation seems to mean: There is almost no vapor or liquid phase on the first plate; please check the reflux or evaporation data, as well as the intermediate heat exchanger and intermediate reflux. My feeling: The first board might be becoming a dry board – is the reflow insufficient? Otherwise, the backflow is too large, causing the gas to liquefy and leaving no gaseous phase.
Thank you! By reducing the reflux ratio, gas or liquid on the first plate still seems to be about to disappear. However, when the reflux ratio is increased gradually, gas or liquid on all 16 plates starts to disappear; further increases in the reflux ratio again result in gas or liquid on the first plate being on the verge of disappearing. What is the reason for this? ? :'(
Why not start by taking samples from the side line? On plates in some specific locations, the liquid phase load is very low, and they may end up as dry plates.
Adjust the Low PA to the minimum or turn it off first, then adjust slowly
