Dear colleagues, I have been studying heterogeneous fluid separation and found that there are no books or techniques on the "homogeneous fluid separation" method. I don't know if any colleagues have relevant information, and I hope to share it with you.
The only methods I can think of to separate homogeneous mixtures are selective permeation membranes, absorption and desorption, adsorption/desorption, diffusion, etc. It seems that no one has specifically grouped these together into one category of homogeneous separation. Can you tell us what the difference is between research application-oriented and existing separation methods? What’s new in this new concept of “homogeneous separation”? Very interested, please enlighten me.
Some people refer to the interphase transfer processes such as absorption, desorption, distillation, and extraction as "homogeneous fluid separation." It feels weird.

Homogeneous separation means include: Thermal diffusion, gas diffusion, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, electrodialysis and liquid membrane separation are separation processes achieved by relying on the difference in migration speed of microscopic particles of different components in gas or solution under the force of the medium caused by pressure, temperature, composition, electric potential or other gradients.

Your feeling is correct. The above is not homogeneous separation, but heterogeneous separation.
