For a FCC unit equipped with FCC technology, what are the key control points in systems such as reaction and regeneration, distillation, absorption and stabilization, as well as pressure control, during normal operation? As long as these few points are well controlled, can the device operate stably?
There are too many; let’s mention a few: 1. It is necessary to follow the heating curve strictly in order to prevent damage to the lining. 2. Removing the large blind plate and installing the steam seal must be carried out in coordination to prevent air from entering the distillation tower. 3. When raising the temperature of the transfer reactor, do so slowly to prevent the catalyst from entering the distillation tower; a negative pressure difference should be maintained between the two reactors to prevent air from entering the distillation system. 4. The self-protection joint test was successful, and both the large and small flares are operating normally. 5. When injecting fuel, pay attention to the reaction temperature, which must not be lower than 480 degrees (for heavy oil catalysis). Maintain a normal differential pressure to prevent the catalyst level from becoming under vacuum and to avoid cross-contamination between the two reactors. 6. When collecting the distillate, remove all residual water, and ensure that the temperature at the bottom of the distillation tower remains above 200 degrees to prevent the slurry pump from running dry. 7. When changing the reaction catalyst, it is necessary to ensure low oil slurry circulation in the fractionation tower and to conduct a solid content analysis. 8. After receiving oil and gas, cooling the top of the tower is used for reflux control to maintain an appropriate top temperature; the reflux in each section is established and adjusted as quickly as possible to prevent flooding of the tower. 9. Check all pipelines and heat exchangers for leaks, and contact the relevant parties for prompt handling. There are other points as well; they can be added below. It should be noted that when starting work, it’s not enough to just ensure that the critical aspects are under control – every step is important and cannot be taken lightly, as even a small problem could cause delays in the work or lead to other accidents.
I’d like to add one more point: 10. The speed increase of the compressor must be closely coordinated with the reaction process to prevent negative pressure from being created.
Develop a comprehensive catalytic startup plan and enforce it strictly, ensuring that each step is carried out properly. All preparatory work must be completed properly, with water, electricity, steam, and air in normal operation. Special personnel are assigned to handle reaction, distillation, and stabilization processes, on the condition that there are dedicated coordinators at each station to ensure unified command and coordination. Together with the key operating points from the above friends, you can start working right away. Give it a try!
