Standard intelligent transmitters with a current range of 4–20 mA DC usually come equipped with HART communication, allowing the use of a handheld device to configure the instrument ； In a broad sense, a HART instrument refers to HART communication with a control card, that is, it replaces 4–20MA ； FF fieldbus instruments are a new type of instrument ； I’m not very familiar with the prices of the latter two types of instruments; the price of a regular smart pressure transmitter is around 4,000 yuan! It’s meaningless to just know the price of the instrument, as it needs to be paired with cards and controllers in order to form a system!

Most instruments these days support the HART communication protocol; without it, such products lack any competitive advantage in the market and are bound to be phased out. As for FF fieldbus instruments, they only support the FF bus; if the factory does not have an FF bus installed at all, then there is no need to consider FF instruments at all. However, when upgrading your control systems in the future, it is recommended to use the FF field bus, depending on the distance and quantity of the instruments on site, as this can help reduce investment costs.
