Most instruments these days support the HART communication protocol; without it, such products lack any competitive advantage in the market and are bound to be phased out. As for FF fieldbus instruments, they only support the FF bus; if the factory does not have an FF bus installed at all, then there is no need to consider FF instruments at all. However, when upgrading your control systems in the future, it is recommended to use the FF field bus, depending on the distance and quantity of the instruments on site, as this can help reduce investment costs.
