For the installation height, please refer to the construction drawings of the design unit (the compressor manufacturer's system diagram has the minimum required value, which can also be referred to, but the construction drawings are the main ones). There are clear requirements on it, which seems to be at least 5.0 meters above the center line of the compressor shaft. The manhole must be closed, otherwise the lubricating oil will be contaminated and the oil will deteriorate.

The level should not be too far away from the oil tank and compressor, otherwise the pressure loss will be too large and oil supply under accident conditions cannot be realized in time.
First of all, we need to understand what the role of the high-mounted fuel tank is. It is mainly used to prevent the lubricating oil pump from malfunctioning. When the pressure lubricating oil cannot be supplied, the oil provided by the high-level oil tank can continue to provide pressure lubricating oil (short-term) to prevent burning of the bearings and shafts. Therefore, the height should be determined according to the lubricating oil pressure required by the bearing. For example, if the oil supply pressure required by the bearing is 1kg, then the height of the high-temperature oil tank must be at least 10m.
It should be possible to press into the bearing by relying on the position difference, and it can be arranged according to the site. 3-4m is enough, as long as there are ventilation holes
The main engine manufacturer has technical requirements, and various models have slight differences. They should be arranged and installed close to the manufacturer's requirements. Our factory's sinking drum requires that the main engine should be 6.5 meters higher than the center elevation of the main spindle.
