Regarding Omron and Zhejiang University Zhongkong

Our boss can program Omron PLCs, but the factory requires the use of Zhejiang University Zhongkong systems. But for the PLC programming part at Zhejiang University’s Central Control System, the boss wants to write it himself; we are not allowed to get involved for fear that we might come across the company’s core technologies. So the boss wants me to figure out how to represent the storage areas in Omron within Zhejiang University’s control system. I don’t know how to program Omron PLCs, and I’m also exploring Zhejiang University’s control systems on my own; I hope those who know how can help me. 1. There are two concepts: DCS and PLC. In a DCS, there is no such concept as a storage area; variables in a DCS are identified using tag numbers and labels. For example, I/O operations at Zhejiang University are typically invoked using tag numbers. 2. Timers in DCS are implemented through modules, unlike PLCs which have a concept of timers. 3. PLCs and DCSs are somewhat similar in terms of configuration, just as assembly language and C language differ from each other: assembly language is used for programming by accessing memory addresses, while C language involves defining variables.
If you can’t even figure out the basic things like an address, how can you talk about programming?
