There were indeed some problems with electrical control at that time.: (1) In the 1980s, the control panels used were wooden boards installed on the wall. 1. From the engineering analysis, it seems unlikely that the acid pump accident will start automatically. 2. From a safety perspective, mechanical and electrical equipment for maintenance must be locked and isolated to ensure one key one lock one person, which is often called lock out or tag out.
It is possible that a short circuit in the control line caused the contactor suction pump to start. During maintenance, all safety measures must be taken according to specifications
