It is almost impossible to simulate the injection process using Aspen. If it must be reflected in the process, it is necessary to first calculate the flow rate of the power fluid on one’s own, and then use Flash2, with the ejecting fluid and the fluid being ejected as the inlet streams, to determine the properties of the outlet fluid. In other words, only the material balance of the jet pump can be calculated. Things related to dynamics can only be simulated using Fluent

Aspen is designed only for thermodynamic models; although it can calculate pipe resistance (based on Bernoulli’s equation and empirical equations), it is unable to perform fluid dynamics calculations for complex flow fields. Pump jets and similar devices rely on the transfer of fluid momentum; the design of the nozzle and its installation dimensions have a significant impact on their performance, necessitating the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for design calculations.
