PROⅡ is equipped with a WIDE film evaporator that simulates the falling-film evaporation process. I would like to simulate a three-effect evaporation process, but it doesn’t have to be of the falling-film type. Please share your insights; is there anyone who can give me some guidance?
1. You can use the three-stage FLASH tank mode for simple calculation; 2. The calculation can be carried out using a configuration of three distillation columns (with 3 theoretical plates each) ; 3、WIPED FILM EVP. It is a falling-film wiped-film evaporator, suitable for applications with high viscosity, the presence of solid phases, and short residence times.
Brother on the second floor, could you explain it more clearly? (1) For Method 1, does using three FLASH units in series for simple calculation mean using one heat exchanger plus one FLASH unit to form one stage? What’s the result if we calculate it this way? (2) For Method 2, is it the same as Method 1, by adding an additional heat exchanger? Is the outlet temperature of the heat exchanger required to be the boiling point temperature at that pressure? I’ve just started learning how to do evaporation. Could the brother on the second floor give me some guidance? What’s the result if we calculate it this way? I don’t know if yours is used for design or calculation? 1. If it is a design aspect, then the pressure and temperature gradients for triple-effect evaporation need to be determined in order to achieve low energy consumption along with a high evaporation rate. 2. If it is for calculation purposes, then the evaporation rates of the three towers can be determined, to see if there is room for adjustments, or whether insufficient area of a certain heat exchanger is causing incomplete heat recovery and thus low evaporation rates.
