What do you want to simulate, a process flow? It can be used to simulate distillation columns; there’s no need for anything else. :lol
I heard that the database built into Aspen does not provide very good simulation of distillation effects; it might be worth trying a database with better data on impurities. (I heard~~~~)
I’ve seen it used with MATLAB!
There are specialized software simulations for this; using ASPEN or PRO2 yields significant discrepancies.
I have simulated exhaust gas recovery, but I don’t have a lot of data. Is there any other colleague who has done this? Let’s exchange ideas

I’m using Aspen to simulate distillation columns, and it’s working well – it saves a lot of trouble, such as having to look up the physical properties of the key substances. However, many impurities are not available in the Aspen database. If very strict distillation is to be achieved, it takes some effort. After all, Aspen is meant for simulation. It is recommended to use it.
